Smoked Folie, 2016, Franconia Sculpture Park, Shafer, Minn, 20”x20”x36”, cast iron, resin bonded sand, wood. One of four castings produced while at the Hot Metal Residency at Franconia. This work seeks to question the notions of what are the essential elements in life. A material based process work that exposes the cast iron framework of these scaled houses as a way to speak to the relationship between nature and the human made.
